How to Help HVF
Homeless Veterans Fellowship is a non-profit organization, as such, it depends totally upon the generosity of the community and public and private grants. For those who would like to partner with HVF in its en devour to help our veterans, here are a few ways you can help:
Drop-In Center:
- The drop-in center provides hot coffee, donuts, and reading material for visitors, workers, and residents. Donated supplies, including coffee, sugar, plastic ware, pastries, creamer, cups, napkins, and cleaning supplies are needed and welcome.
- Paperback books, magazines, board games, card games, etc. are welcome.
- Food items, such as canned goods, boxed or packaged items.
- Hygiene items (soap, toothpaste, tooth brushes, deodorant, etc.) are always helpful, especially to those living on the street.
- Clothing items. Please ensure all donated clothing items are clean and serviceable. With winter coming on, coats will be in great demand.
Residence Program and General Operations:

- Monetary donations help HVF maintain its facilities, pay for utilities, and pay for its staff and residence programs. If you would like to help in this way, please bring in or send a check or money order to HVF. You will be given a receipt for your tax deductible donation.
- Office supplies, such as printer/copier paper, pencils, computer support items, etc.
- Building supplies are occasionally needed. It is best to contact HVF by telephone or E-mail to find out what current needs exist. Storage space is limited, so it is important that the director be contacted prior to delivery of building supplies.
- Equipment, such as: lawn mowers, outdoor grills, garden tools, power tools, etc. are often needed to support operations and facility upkeep.
- Furniture in good, serviceable condition is greatly appreciated. Members successfully completing the program take the furniture used while at the HFV facility to their new residence at no cost. This helps them establish an independent residence without the usual initial outlay of resources to furnish it.
- Professional services: please contact the director.
